On the occasion of Honduras’ adhesion to the Bolivarian Alternative for the People of our America (ALBA, Spanish acronym), the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chávez said that the ALBA is the alternative path to the neoliberal hegemony, which is destroying the world.
“The countries of the South join to be independent and secure development for our people. The ALBA is the mechanism of the Latin American people and governments to fight the crisis ravaging the world,” said the Venezuelan president.
